YOUNG TALENTED BRANTFORD GUITARISTS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF PATRICK FEELY -SUNDAY JUNE 12, 2011, 2:00 P.M.
"The Brantford Guitar Orchestra" currently consists of 27 classical guitarists under the direction of Patrick Feely and ranges in age from age 7 to 70. The ensemble has a diverse membership ranging from beginner students, to those pursuing post secondary musical education. The orchestra draws on repertoire from the Renaissance to contemporary Canadian composers, and has a mandate to foster music literacy skills, peer modeling, balancing of parts, tone production, and the ability to follow a conductor.
Today's recital will include repertoire from the Austin Guitar Society Guitar Orchestra Curriculum, and a special solos from orchestra members Admission at the door is $10 per family, or $5 per person. Come and join the fun!
